Paddle Georgia Lite is our abbreviated trip for just the first two days of Paddle Georgia - June 15-16. Participation in Paddle Lite is by invitation only. The deadline to be considered for a Paddle Georgia Lite invitation this year has passed. Invitations will be extended by April 12. A limited number of spaces will be available to our supporters, special guests, and by lottery. For those who receive an invitation, registration fees will be $65 for children, $85 for seniors/college and $100 for adults. Children 7 and under are free.
If you are an American Canoe Association** member you may present your ACA card during registration on June 14 or 15 to receive a $5 rebate on your registration fee. To become an ACA member visit www.acanet.org. A year’s membership in Georgia River Network is included in all registration fees.
* If requested, registration fees will be refunded to all paddlers who generate more than $550 in Canoe-a-thon pledges to support river protection in Georgia. Prizes will be awarded to participants generating the most Canoe-a-thon pledges. Click here to read more about Canoe-a-thon and to download a Canoe-a-thon Pledge sheet.
Each meal is catered by professional caterers or local civic groups. Expect hearty fare with vegetarian options. Sack lunches include sandwiches (several choices each day), chips, fruit and dessert. All participants will choose their luncheon sandwiches via the meal registration forms. For those who don't want the Full Meals Deal, registration and payment for Pick and Choose Meal package options will take place in April.
**One night, participants will “eat on their own” at local restaurants. The price of this meal is not included in the meal package. Coffee and breakfast tea are not included. A coffee vendor will accompany the trip, and coffee and breakfast tea can be purchased at the event directly from the vendor.
DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS POSTMARK MAY 17. A $25 LATE FEE APPLIES TO ALL REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DAY.
Once You Have Registered:
1. In April, you will receive via e-mail (unless regular mail is requested) a liability waiver form, information about shuttle services, meals, campsites, and other essential trip information.
2. Start raising money for Canoeathon. Get started by visiting First Giving.
