Paddle Georgia Lite (June 18-19 Only)
2011 Registration :

Due to overwhelming demand, spaces for Paddle Georgia Lite (June 18-19) will be awarded through a lottery system. If you wish to participate in Paddle Georgia Lite, please check the box on the registration form and indicate how many people are in your party (limit of 4 total in one party), then mail the form to Georgia River Network postmarked by April 7. Winners of the lottery will be announced by April 15. DO NOT SEND MONEY AT THIS TIME. You will complete the registration process if your party is chosen to participate. The number of lottery spaces awarded will depend on the number of thru-paddler registrations received by April 15. Prices: $95 adults, $80 for senior/college, $60 Children (8-17), 7 and under free.

If you are an American Canoe Association** member you may present your ACA card during registration on June 18 or 19 to receive a $5 rebate on your registration fee. To become an ACA member visit www.acanet.org. A year’s membership in Georgia River Network is included in all registration fees.

* If requested, registration fees will be refunded to all paddlers who generate more than $440 in Canoe-a-thon pledges to support river protection in Georgia. Meal Registration
:
$189 for Full Meals Deal Package when you order at time of registration (breakfast and lunch for seven days and dinner for seven days* including Kick Off Day Feast and River’s End Celebration)—a $17 savings!

Each meal is catered by professional caterers or local civic groups. Expect hearty fare with vegetarian options. Sack lunches include sandwiches (several choices each day), Kettle Chips, fruit and dessert. All participants will choose their luncheon sandwiches via the meal registration forms to be distributed in April. For those who don't want the Full Meals Deal, registration and payment for Pick and Choose Meal package options will take place in April.

DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION IS POSTMARK MAY 20. A $25 LATE FEE APPLIES TO ALL REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DAY.

Once You Have Registered:

1. In April, you will receive via e-mail (unless regular mail is requested) a liability waiver form, information about shuttle services, meals, campsites, and other essential trip information.

2. Start raising money for Canoeathon. Get started by visiting First Giving.

Paddle Georgia Policies:
For your safety and the safety of others.
1. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed.
2. All participants must attend the pre-launch safety briefing. Participants must adhere to the safety guidelines presented.
3. Participants must wear a properly fitted U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation device at all times on the river.
4. Participants under age 18 are the responsibility of, and must be accompanied by, a parent or guardian.
5. Sorry, no pets allowed.
6. All participants must sign a Medical and Emergency Contact Information sheet and a Waiver of Claims and Release of Liability form. Parents must sign for children under the age of 18. (These forms will be sent in the info packet after registration.)
7. Person-powered watercraft only.
8. All participants must respect private property along the river.
9. All participants must have basic paddling skills.
10. No more than 2 children under the age of 12 per adult guardian.
Violations of these policies can result in the participant being removed from the event without refund.
Refund Policy
Registration fees may be reimbursed prior to June 1. Shuttle fees for Kick Off and River’s End shuttles and fees for meals may be reimbursed prior to June 10. Refunds will not include reimbursement of processing fees.
