1) Be a Paddle Georgia Partner!
The 2012 educational trip will engage over 350 participants on a week-long, educational canoe and kayak trip down the Altamaha River June 16-22, 2012, and will raise the awareness of thousands of others about the importance of Georgia’s rivers.
Paddle Georgia is a Great Sponsorship Opportunity for Your Business:
-
Paddle Georgia receives outstanding earned media coverage and has generated over 150 newspaper articles, TV and radio stories including features on Georgia Public Broadcasting’s "Georgia Outdoors," HGTV’s “Deserving Design” and in Southern Living magazine.
-
Paddle Georgia is a very popular and wildly successful educational program. Paddle Georgia sells out each year -- as an example, the 2010 Paddle Georgia Lite (the optional shorter weekend trip) sold out just six hours after registration opened. Over the last six years, over 1,800 people have participated in the event, travelling on six different river systems and raising over $90,000 to support river protection and restoration efforts around the state.
-
Paddle Georgia has also become the largest week-long, educational canoe and kayak camping adventure in the country.
-
Your business has a “captive audience” of over 350 people for an entire week during the trip. Your business brand will gain exposure throughout the week through recognition, logos on signs, banners and displays, and use of your product donations.
-
Depending on your sponsorship level, you have the opportunity to send employees on the trip, which can be a nice added benefit for your staff.

2) Be a GRN Annual Conference Sponsor!
GRN’s Annual Conference (was last held February 25-26, 2011 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell), helps over 150 river conservation leaders and citizens from across Georgia come together to learn how they can better protect their local rivers by providing education, training and the tools needed to be successful in their efforts. By building the capacity of river conservation leaders to accomplish shared goals, we effectively broaden our impact and the potential to truly protect and restore Georgia’s rivers.
We rely on partners like you to help support the Annual Conference so we can feature dynamic speakers, provide scholarships for participants from volunteer-based organizations with limited resources, organize and plan workshops, provide meals and meeting space and provide entertainment, food and beverages for the Friday night River Celebration Awards party.

3) Support Our Water Trails Program
I’m sure it’s easy for you to imagine what a big difference a statewide network of water trails would make for Georgia’s rivers, the people who enjoy them, and the businesses that serve them. It would provide more opportunities for people to get outside, not to mention support your business and local economy when water trail users buy products and services for their adventures. We need your financial support in order to make this dream a reality.
